Last night, the Town of Brunswick’s Planning Board held a special meeting to review the SEQR (State Environmental Quality Review). The Planning Board gave an OK on the SEQR at their special meeting. That was the good news.
The bad news occurred at the zoning board meeting which followed that. Even though I dropped off the updated site plan several weeks ago, the zoning board chairman told me that they only received the updated plan minutes before the meeting. Because of the short time frame, they decided they could not act/vote on the application last night. In turn, they will be holding a special meeting on July 2nd at 6pm. If they approve the area variance that night, then the Planning Board is able to issue site plan approval at their next meeting, which is July 5th at 7pm.
I appreciate all of your patience as I go though this process. It is my hope that someday soon, I will get approval to build the first large community solar farm in the area. From there, we can all enjoy lower cost, renewable electricity. Please feel free to reach out to me via email, phone, or Facebook with any questions.
